About this resource
Courage in school looks small: raising a hand, trying a new sport, speaking up for a friend. These courage coloring pages celebrate that everyday bravery with 20 messages Grades 2–8 can color and carry. They help students act even when they feel scared, in the Self-Awareness competency with a link to Self-Management. Use them as courage affirmation coloring pages, or as SEL coloring pages with a reflection step.
What students practice
- Acting even when they feel scared
- Speaking up for what is right
- Trying something new
- Taking one small brave action
What’s inside these courage coloring pages
- 20 courage messages to color: 10 affirmation pages and 10 quote pages, each in portrait and landscape (40 pages)
- The “Being Brave Check-In” reflection page with 8 questions
- A 12-task courage choice board: Reflect & Write, Draw & Create, Act & Practice, Connect & Share, in portrait and landscape
- Classroom and counseling guides, a printing guide and a list of all 20 courage messages; 56 pages in all
A look inside
- Sample messages: “I face my fears with strength.” “I speak up for what’s right.” “Feel fear. Do it anyway.” “Courage starts small.”
- The choice board asks students to do one small brave action today (speak up, try something new, ask a question), or to draw two versions of themselves, one worried and one brave.
