How SELcurve works

Find it. Print it or share it. See what your students think.

SELcurve is a library of hundreds of CASEL-aligned SEL resources for elementary classrooms. Print anything in one click — or send an interactive version to your students that works on any device, with no student accounts. Then plan your SEL week in the same place.

Step 1 · The library

1Find the right resource in seconds

Filter by grade, CASEL competency, resource type and 43 SEL topics — things like Anger Management, Friendship or Growth Mindset — or search for a skill. Choose print or digital, free or premium, and save anything with the bookmark.

Step 2 · Every resource page

2Print it in one click

Every resource has its own page: preview pages, the grades and competency it covers, and two clear choices. View & Print opens it right in your browser — nothing to download, nothing to unzip. Or share it as a digital activity.

Number of cards

4of 60
  • Pick exactly what to assign. Every card starts selected. Use the slider, pick randomly from the full set, or tick individual cards. The preview shows exactly what students will see.
  • Choose the format. Guided or open-ended, task or reflection, multiple choice or written — depending on the resource.
  • Your class names and messages are saved to your account, so the next link takes seconds.
  • Links close when you say. End of today, a week, the end of the school year — and you can extend or reopen a link later. Students keep the same link.
  • Teaching another class? One click makes a new link with the same questions for the next class.

The share options open right in Google Classroom or Teams with the link filled in.

Step 4 · What students see

4Students just open the link

No accounts, no app, no passwords. The activity fills the screen on a Chromebook, iPad or phone, with big buttons and one question at a time — built for elementary students.

Tap through it — this is the student screen.

  • Read aloud. A speaker button reads the card, the question or the student’s own answer out loud.
  • Bigger text. A− / A+ changes the text size without breaking the layout.
  • Nothing gets lost. Answers are kept if the page is refreshed, and students are warned before leaving early.
  • A check before finishing. Students see which questions still need an answer. You decide whether they may skip any.
  • Two downloads at the end: My Answers (to send to you) and a Certificate of Completion to keep.
  • Private by design. What students type never leaves their device — SELcurve doesn’t collect or store student answers or names.
Step 5 · Review

5Review answers on a sheet made for teachers

Students send you their answer sheet — a clean PDF with every answer in large, readable text. Tick Got it, Getting there or Not yet for each card and type a comment right inside the PDF, or print it and write by hand.

  • Fill it in on screen. Tick boxes and comment boxes work in Chrome, Edge and Adobe Reader. Try the ones here.
  • Glow and Grow. One thing that went well and one next step — quick, balanced feedback at the top of every sheet.
  • Reading Comprehension sets mark themselves. Multiple-choice answers come back marked, with the correct answer shown, so you only read the written ones.
  • Every page is labelled with the student’s name, so printed pages never get mixed up.

Step 6 · Plan & organize

6Plan your SEL week and keep your favorites together

Everything you use lives in your dashboard. Put resources on the days you’ll teach them, tick them off as you go, and keep the ones you love in collections.

This weekRoom 12 · Grade 3

Tap a plan to tick it “Taught”. Week and month views; up to 10 classes on the full library (1 on a free account).

  • SEL Planner. “Add to planner” on any resource puts it on a day. See your week or month, tick “Taught”, copy a week, or shift everything after a snow day.
  • Collections. Tap the bookmark to save a resource, then group them your way — “Anxiety unit”, “Indoor recess”. Your collections show up in the planner too.
  • Dashboard home. This week’s plans, your student links and your collections the moment you log in.
  • Request a resource. Can’t find it? Tell us what you need — teacher requests shape what we make next.
  • Rate what you’ve used. After you use a resource, leave a quick rating. Reviews come only from teachers who used the resource.

The Planner, Collections and requests come with every account, free or paid.

Questions teachers ask

Good to know

Do my students need an account or email?

No. Students open the link you share, type their name, and start. There are no student accounts, passwords or emails.

How many students can use one link?

As many as you like — share one link with the whole class. Make a separate link for each class or period if you want their answer sheets labelled by class.

How do I get my students’ answers?

At the end, each student downloads their My Answers PDF and sends it to you — usually by turning it in on Google Classroom or Teams, or by email. Because nothing is stored on our side, the PDF is how answers reach you.

Which resources can be shared as digital activities?

Scenario Cards, Task Cards, Conversation Cards, Stop Think Act Cards, What Would You Do? Cards, Choices Scenarios worksheets and Reading Comprehension sets. Look for Open digital activity on a resource page, or choose Print or digital → Digital activity in the library.

What happens when a link closes?

Students see a friendly “This activity is closed” page. You can reopen the link from your Activity Links page and students keep using the same link. Closed links are removed automatically 90 days later.

Can I print instead?

Always. Every resource has a View & Print button, and the digital activities are optional extras.

Is the planner free?

Yes. Every account gets the SEL Planner, Collections and Request a Resource. A free account plans for one class; the full library plans for up to 10 classes and lets you add any resource.
