About this resource

Students who can define bullying are not always the ones who step in. These bullying prevention task cards aim at that gap for Grades 2–5 with realistic situations that ask what they would actually do. The two leveled sets build Social Awareness, with Relationship Skills alongside.

What students practice

  • Recognizing bullying in its different forms
  • Responding safely as a bystander
  • Supporting someone who is being hurt
  • Showing peer empathy
  • Speaking up respectfully

What’s inside

  • 50 task cards for Grades 2–3 (Set A): teasing, exclusion and first upstander responses
  • 50 task cards for Grades 4–5 (Set B): more complex situations including repeated targeting, bystander dynamics and online behavior
  • Two print layouts: 2 cards per page for discussion, 4 cards per page to save paper
  • 100 reflection sheets, one per card, for written response and independent practice
  • 182 pages in all: 80 in the card file and 102 in the reflection sheet file

A look inside

  • Set A: “You see two kids laughing at someone’s drawing and calling it “ugly.” What could you do to be an upstander in that moment?”
  • Set A: “A classmate says, “Don’t be a tattletale” when you try to tell the teacher. Why is it still important to speak up, and how can you do it respectfully?”
  • Set B: “You find out someone created a fake social media profile to make fun of another student.”
