About this resource

Self-esteem grows from small, repeated moments of noticing what is good about yourself. These self-esteem coloring pages make room for that in a calm, private way, with no pressure to perform in front of classmates. The 20 messages for Grades 2–8 center on students’ own strengths rather than comparison, within the Self-Awareness competency. They work as SEL coloring pages and as affirmation coloring pages, with self-esteem at the center.

What students practice

  • Noticing their own strengths
  • Feeling proud of their effort and achievements
  • Celebrating who they are without comparing
  • Naming their best qualities

What’s inside these self-esteem coloring pages

  • 20 self-esteem messages to color: 10 affirmation pages and 10 quote pages, each in portrait and landscape (40 pages)
  • The “Self-Esteem Check-In” reflection page with 8 questions
  • A 12-task self-esteem choice board: Reflect & Write, Draw & Create, Act & Practice, Connect & Share, in portrait and landscape
  • Classroom and counseling guides, a printing guide and a list of all 20 self-esteem messages; 56 pages in all

A look inside

  • Sample messages: “I am proud of my achievements.” “You are capable of amazing things.” “I celebrate my strengths.” “Be yourself; everyone else is taken.”
  • The check-in asks “What is something you’re proud of today?” A choice board task: draw a “strength shield” with symbols that represent your best qualities.
