About this resource
A big sheet of paper, a pile of magazines and glue sticks to share make this cooperation collage a real test of teamwork. Small groups in kindergarten through second grade (Grades K–2) agree on a theme, share the scissors and build one collage together. It builds teamwork, a core part of Relationship Skills, in SEL activities that end in a ready-made bulletin board.

How to use this cooperation collage kit
- Open with the soccer example: if nobody passed, the team could never score
- Form groups of three to five, pick a theme card and give each group paper, magazines, scissors and glue
- Have groups cut out pictures and words, lay everything out first and glue only when everyone is happy, suggesting a compromise like including both ideas if they get stuck
- Each group presents its collage and tells about a moment they cooperated well
Grade fit
Picking a theme card and cutting pictures is accessible to Grades K–2, while the planning worksheet and reflection can be written by older students in that range.
