About this resource

Read a card, and the whole class answers at once by moving. These conflict resolution brain breaks turn conflict resolution into an SEL movement game for Grades 3–5: students stand up, pick a side or walk to a corner to answer, then hear a short teaching point. Every movement has a seated version, and it’s print and play, with no prep beyond printing.

What students practice

  • Bigger or smaller

How to use these conflict resolution brain breaks

Quick brain breakPull one open practice card or a single Do card for 2–5 minutes of movement between lessons
Full SEL lessonPlay one round (15–20 minutes) in morning meeting or SEL time; it ends calm, so students are ready for what’s next
Play the rounds in order the first time, then replay any round or pick single cards

Grade fit

You read the cards aloud and students answer by moving, so every reader can join in. The questions go further than the K–2 version, with true-or-false traps, mixed answers and real choices that older students can argue about.
