About this resource

Two students can watch the same recess argument and tell two completely different stories. These perspective taking affirmation cards help Grades 2–8 make room for both, with 30 first-person messages about listening first, looking again and noticing what someone else might be feeling. They build Social Awareness, and every line is written so students say it as their own.

What students practice

  • Stepping into someone else’s shoes
  • Pausing to look again
  • Respecting a view that differs from their own
  • Listening before deciding

What’s inside

  • 30 first-person affirmation cards, 4 per page, plus a list of all 30
  • Reflection sheets in a younger and an older version, each full-page and half-page
  • 30 matching coloring and DIY poster pages
  • The teacher guide “Ways to Use This Pack,” on folding the cards into routines you already have; 46 pages

A look inside

  • “My perspective matters, and so does yours.”
  • “I can pause and look again.”
  • “I can step into someone else’s shoes.”
